September 30 is the time and the swish Wintergarden at the National Gallery of Ireland is the place where the great and the good of Ireland’s internetters (and a few of the rest of us) will gather to celebrate the best of the web.
Nominations and voting have come and gone so all that’s left to do is book your table, your ‘do or your penguin suit. We certainly look forward to bumping into a few old chums on the night. It’s the 13th year of the Net Visionary awards, and we’ve been to about 17 of them, if memory serves.
As the IIA say themselves, ‘14 categories and one Net Visionary reflect the prolific business use of the Internet in Ireland, enabling businesses to grow despite these tough times.’ Anyway, we’re glad they’re persisting with the capital I for Internet. It’s every bit as real as Chad, or Kanturk for that matter.
You can follow the IIA on Twitter here. Go on, they’re not a bad lot.
