Brand New Big Guns

Important new advertising resource Brand Artillery captures the zeitgeist with high aims and low overheads

Brand Artillery are a dynamic new creative resource launched in Dublin on Valentine’s Day. Founded by seasoned creative partners Eoghan Nolan and Colman Bourke, Brand Artillery cuts out the layer of ‘suits’ commonly found in ‘institutional’ ad agencies. Having spent several months canvassing the marketplace, Brand Artillery say they’re structured in response to a tangible groundswell among clients of larger agencies who increasingly question the number of people servicing their business- and the associated cost in hours. “Brands can simply no longer afford to have a costly phalanx of handlers, planners and people with indeterminate roles involved in their business. When you work with Brand Artillery, you’ll only deal with people who create and produce ideas; there’ll be no expensive round-the-houses with the brief” says co-founder Nolan. An award-winning copywriter, Nolan has been a director of McCann-Erickson, IAPI, ICAD, Think & Son and was for the last six years a director of Irish International BBDO. Fellow creative partner Colman Bourke is a highly-regarded award-winning art director who was until recently with Ogilvy. Brand Artillery term their offering ‘Pure Source Creative’ and say that sourcing creative work directly ensures that ‘not only are time and money saved, it allows ideas to be better, braver and harder-working’. Brand Artillery work ‘wherever the brand meets the mind’ whether that’s ‘above, below or online’. Brand Artillery are based in Dawson Street, Dublin 2 and can be found at www.brandartillery.com
